Quality Assurance Our Clients

Once we have been appointed as a provider, we will confirm the project schedule and method on how we will receive the source text and hold a phone conference to introduce the project manager and some members of the team.
The translation team will review the source text; create an initial glossary and translation memory.
The subject matter expert will review the source text, advice the team on airline terms and put this comments into the translation memory and glossary.
Translation will be performed in batches, so the translated pages will be also reviewed and edited in batches.
A regular progress report will be provided.

Our translation process follows a strict methodology to ensure quality control and rapid delivery of deliverables.

  • Given the scale of the job and required timeframes, we will assign at least 4 native speaking translators and 2 proof readers each language to manage the entire project. There will also be a “project manager” who performs the overall project management and act as a single point of contacft
  • We will have a panel consisting of 4 translators and 2 proof readers each language; one of the translators will perform the role as the translation leader who manages translation queries and ensure the consistency across the entire translation.
  • When the source files arrived from our client, our project managers will collate all source files and validate their integrity. These findings and any translation issues will be communicated to the client
  • Our panel of language and cultural experts will analyse and provide feedback on the cultural and linguistic appropriateness of the supplied English text for target markets. This will come in a form of a report which the project manager will present and consult with the client. We will make recommendation on how best to address the language used, to ensure that the end-results (translations) will be cultured to target countries and idiom used in target countries.
  • We will then use our translation environment to prepare and optimise the work files to ensure greater efficiency in the translation process and high level of consistency and accuracy.
  • We will also a list of terms or references that are likely to be repeated. This is necessary to ensure consistency in translation. These will go into a translation glossary (or translation memory). We will give this back to the client completion of the project so future agency can reference the glossary when updating the translation. Given that we did previous translation, the consistency will be maintained
  • Once terms are clarified and contents are finalised, translation will begin immediately. This is followed by our internal review and quality control process. (See Translation Process). Once the translation work is reviewed internally, it will be sent to the independent proof readers for checking and verification. Feedbacks will be amended and the translation is sent back to the proof readers one more time. Proof readers notes will be recorded and presented in a report later on.
  • All translation and localisation outcomes will then go through a back-translation process. We will compare the back-translated text with the original English text, and note down any discrepancies. This will then be sent back to our translation team who will make the appropriate adjustments at no additional cost.
  • During this translation/localisation, a number of parallel processes can occur. At any point, we can make whichever completed translation/localisation available for our client  to test them in target countries. Results of our client external review including any changes required or any rejected articles will be corrected at no additional charge. This will then go through our standard in-house review and quality control process before sending it off to your external reviewers again. This process will be repeated until your external reviewers are totally satisfied with the translations.
  • Finally we will deliver the translations/localisations back to our client in a convenient format that best suits them
  • As an option (without additional cost), once the translation is imported into the program, we can assign reviewers for the translation as it is presented in the program.
  • Once final review is complete and our client has completed its own final external review process, then the final deliverables and the final report are delivered and signed-off.

Translation Process /Quality Control

All eTranslate works are performed under a 3 point check quality control process, which ensures accuracy of the translation and terms used are consistent with the language used by Airline Industry information. This ensures accuracy, cultural relevance, correct referencing/indexing, and compatibility with text used in the appropriate language version of the demonstration knowledge test and ease of comprehension and understanding by the target countries audiences.
Check 1: The English source is first reviewed for language and cultural issue before translations begin
Check 2: Once translation is complete, it will be reviewed by another accredited translator to ensure it is accurate. Any edits or enhancements are made immediately.
Check 3: Finally, once all edits are made, the translation is required again by our team leader.
We will also build a glossary of terms so the entire translation team for each language has common access to terms, this will ensure consistency.

Our proposed services provide translation and localisation support for corrections and comments by the client. We will also absorb any changes, correction of errors from the reviews of the client external reviews. This will be performed at no additional cost.
